Denver lock work
After-hours lockouts in Denver
Some Denver-area locksmith businesses pick up at night and on weekends, and others don't. When they do, the premium is real: Fixr's survey adds $150 to $250 for after-hours work, on top of the job itself.

Sort it out first
Three kinds of after-hours lockout, three different calls.
- 911: a child or animal shut in a car or house, someone inside who needs help, or you feel unsafe.
- A locksmith tonight: you have nowhere warm to go, or a door won't secure after a break-in.
- A locksmith tomorrow: you can sleep somewhere else. Morning costs less.
Cold nights change the decision
At DIA, an average year brings 152 nights at or below 32°F and 6 below zero, and the lowest reading in 2016 to 2025 was -24°F in December 2022 (NOAA). On nights like that, waiting outside isn't a plan. Run the car with the tailpipe clear of snow, or go to a neighbor's, a hotel lobby or any store that's still open.
